Cookie Decorating with Merve Fundraiser

Ages 6-12

Registration opens November 15th at 10 AM

Come to the library for a very special fundraiser with Merve from Merve's Kitchen and Bakery! Each registered child will get four cookies to decorate with fondant, royal creme, sprinkles, and marshmallows. Everything is 100% nut free.

This program will cost $25 per child and the money will go towards funding future children's programs! A link to pay online will be emailed within two business days of registration.

Introduction to Debate

Introduction to Debate

This 4 week program is dedicated to students in grades 4-6 who want to learn how to analyze a text effectively, how to craft a coherent and convincing argument, and how to hold a debate/socratic seminar. Over the course of this workshop, you'll be developing the critical skill of being able to formulate an argument effectively and discuss important topics in the world today.

Class dates: Thursdays, 6pm - 7pm: July 25, August 1, 8, & 15. Students are encouraged to attend each week. There is a separate registration for each class. 

This class is taught by a Glen Rock High School student who is an officer of Students for Service Club at GRHS. 

Students should bring their own laptop, if available.

Introduction to Debate

This 4 week program is dedicated to students in grades 4-6 who want to learn how to analyze a text effectively, how to craft a coherent and convincing argument, and how to hold a debate/socratic seminar. Over the course of this workshop, you'll be developing the critical skill of being able to formulate an argument effectively and discuss important topics in the world today.

Class dates: Thursdays, 6pm - 7pm: July 25, August 1, 8, & 15. Students are encouraged to attend each week. There is a separate registration for each class. 

This class is taught by a Glen Rock High School student who is an officer of Students for Service Club at GRHS. 

Students should bring their own laptop, if available.

Teen Battle Chefs

Thursday, August 8, 5:30pm

Teen chefs will form teams and battle it out to compete in a food challenge! Awards will be determined at the end of the program and everyone can eat their masterpieces.

For grades 6-12. Registration Required. Priority will be given to Glen Rock residents. Out of town residents will be placed on a wait list and notified if space becomes available.
