During our City Planner Speedway workshop, student-engineers will understand the importance of community, how the structure and layout of a city can improve the lives of its citizens, and the role a City Planner plays in developing these. Participants will become City Planners as they design a new city and use the power of magnetism as a pollution-free alternative to gas-powered vehicles. Registration required.

Hosted by Spreading STEM. In this class, students will be introduced to basic engineering concepts such as levers, force, and energy. The session will be interactive, allowing students to design, test, and play with their catapults, which they will be able to take home afterward. Registration required.

On the climb up the ice-capped Mt Kilimanjaro, student-engineers will discover its 5 biomes from the base of Kilimanjaro to its peak. To avoid altitude sickness, you must hike slowly on the way down. Using gravity, slope, and friction, participants will build a STEAMtastically slow, animal-filled trek down the mountain. Registration required.
