The Mountains Sing is a multigenerational tale of the Tran family, set against the backdop of the Viet Nam War. Born in 1920, Tran Dieu Lan is forced as an adult to flee her family farm with her six children during the Land Reform of the Northern Communist Government. Years later in Hanoi, her young granddaughter, Huong, comes of age as her parents and uncles head down the Ho Chi Minh Trail to fight in a conflict that tore not just her beloved country but also her family apart.
