February Gallery Exhibit

February Gallery Exhibit

For the month of February, The Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library welcome the artwork of Kay Fialkoff to The Gallery.

In her exhibition titled Meditations on Glen Rock Park,  her works on paper include watercolor, ink, cutouts, thread - a series of 16 works. Created in states of flow and altered states of consciousness she reflects, “Glen Rock Park Duck Pond became my muse. My visits were a matter of limited time and opportunity. When drawn to a particular part of the landscape, I entered a deep state of concentration, freeze-framing images. I often arrived at a state of awareness that can only be described as a state of oneness. This process has served me well in all of my creative endeavors.”

Meditations on Glen Rock Park works on paper reflect her responses to those on-site visits through stream of consciousness processes.

January Gallery Exhibit

January Gallery Exhibit

For the month of January, The Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library welcome the artwork of Isabella Disler to The Gallery.  Isabella is a Glen Rock resident of over 15 years and has long been part of the Glen Rock Public Library life through various events and volunteering activities with her kids. Art has been Isabella’s passion her entire life but hasn’t taken the center stage until a few years ago when she started to create paintings and display them in offices in New York City where customers have commented that her artwork makes a dull and uninspiring atmosphere inspirational. Isabella creates art that is colorful, vibrant and uplifting, and makes every room filled with cheer and warmth. Isabella believes that art has special powers to change a person’s mood and state of mind, which can have far-reaching effects such as uplifting someone’s difficult day. Isabella sells her paintings (acrylic on canvas) and their reproductions (fine art giclee print on canvas) on her website artworksbyisabella.com  In tandem with the January exhibit at the Glen Rock Public Library, 20% of all online sales in the month of January will be donated to the Glen Rock Public Library. Isabella appreciates your support of her woman-owned local small business. You can contact her through her website.
